The location of the hostel was fantastic for my New Year getaway. It was conveniently situated right next to the bus stops and train station, making it easy for me to explore the nearby nature reserves using public transport. The surrounding scenery was beautiful, and I loved being just a short walk away from the town center. The hostel offered a spacious and clean room on a room-only basis, which was exactly what I needed. the self-catering kitchen provided all the facilities I required for preparing my own meals.
the exterior of the hostel looked absolutely awful and neglected, which made me question the cleanliness and safety of the place. It definitely did not give a good first impression.

The tranquility of Toad Hall was divine. The rustic, bohemian atmosphere was a refreshing change from traditional hotels. The communal area and kitchen had everything we needed, and the location right opposite the train station was convenient. The owners, Louise and Bill, were friendly and cute, making us feel right at home.

My first impression of the hostel was disappointing. the building itself had potential but was cluttered with old furniture and junk.
